Last weekend I had the joy of returning to Provincetown, Massachusetts -- the place where it all began for The Forever Summer -- for the second annual Provincetown Books Festival. I met some really talented, super nice authors, including my housemate for the weekend, Tim Murphy. Tim wrote a stunning novel called Christodora -- I haven't been able to put it down. On Friday, kicking off the festival, I did a panel on "writing local" with Emily Jeanne Miller, author of The News From the End of the World. Both in photos below, along with a photo I took as the ferry from Boston pulled in Thursday night. I love this town and could fill this whole page with photos!
It's been an incredible two months traveling around visiting book stores and book clubs meeting readers and booksellers. I've also been lucky enough to do events with some of my favorite authors. I think you'll agree there's nothing better than meeting someone whose work you've enjoyed. For anyone who has wanted to come to an event but was unable to make it, I'm happy to Skype into book clubs -- email me firstname.lastname@example.org. And I'll be posting more tour dates as they pop up throughout the summer. A huge thank you to everyone who did make it out!
Hi everyone! It's been incredible to meet so many of you while visiting different cities from Rhode Island to Dallas these past few weeks. I have a few additions to the schedule above: On JUNE 21 I'll be in Darien, Connecticut at the Wee Burn Country Club along with the fabulous Jane Green. More details to follow. On JULY 20, I will be in Ocean City, New Jersey at the Ocean City Arts Center. I hope to see you at one of these wonderful events!
My seventh-grade daughter is very excited to see my book in a magazine with Ariana Grande on the cover :) April issue of Cosmopolitan!
Honored to see The Wedding Sisters on Great Thoughts, Great Readers Best of the Year list! I'm in great company -- this is basically my own reading list of the past twelve months.
It's already time to look ahead to 2017! On May 16 I'll be reading at the fabulous Point Street Reading Series hosted by Robin Krall in Providence, Rhode Island. I'll update re: the other authors who will be there as we get close. Hope to see you there! More details.
Please join me at Lady Jane's Salon Monday evening, October 3 at 7PM. I'll be reading along with the fabulous Fiona Davis (THE DOLLHOUSE) at Madame X, 94 West Houston Street NYC.
"Brenner tempers the weighty emotional aspects of the sisters’ journey with the fluffy frivolity of wedding planning, a contrast that fans of Emily Giffin and Lauren Weisberger will adore. Mixing high society and high drama, this one is witty, heartfelt, and fun." -- Booklist
A smart, fun, sexy read that will make you want to say “yes.” -- PopSugar
“THE WEDDING SISTERS is a delightful book.” -- FreshFiction
A great night celebrating Emily Leibert's SOME WOMEN with Brenda Janowitz, author of THE DINNER PARTY. Lots of great books publishing over the next few months, written by women I'm lucky to call my friends.
