Jamie Brenner grew up in suburban Philadelphia, where her most valuable life lessons came via Judy Blume, Norma Klein, and Judith Krantz. Books opened up her world, and so when moved to Washington, D.C. to attend The George Washington University, she studied literature. She’d love to say that from there, she was a wunderkind who published her first novel at age 24. But no, she worked as a waitress, paralegal, and make-up artist before saving enough money to move to New York City for a job in book publishing. It was another fifteen years before she wrote her first novel. Today, she lives in New York City with her husband and two daughters, where every day begins with coffee and ends with wine. Her next novel, The Forever Summer, is coming spring 2017 from Little, Brown.
